The two best big game safari destinations at this time of the year are South Africa and Botswana and in Kenya and Tanzania in West Africa.
Because of the re growth of foliage, animals are harder to see than in dry season.

EARLY DRY SEASON/SHOULDER SEASON
APRIL THROUGH MID-JUNE
Victoria Falls is at its most spectacular and the Okavango Delta is in full flood.
This is a high demand season, with warm days, clear skis and cool nights.
MID DRY SEASON/PEAK SEASON
LATE JUNE THROUGH MID-SEPTEMBER
This is the height of peak season, high rate and 12-18 mos advance booking required.
Excellent visibility and wildlife with moderate and very pleasant temperatures.
LATE DRY SEASON/BEST
LATE SEPTEMBER THROUGH MID-NOVEMBER
Best timeframe of the year for visibility, diversity and concentration of wildlife.
Victoria Falls and the Okavanga Delta water are at the lowest. Large herds of elephants in Zambezi and Chobe/Linyanti) the Okavango Delta, and Busanga Plains in Kafue).
Average temperature is about 90Fwith dry heat in the day and cool nights at 60F.
