The World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang is also the mystical ancient capital of Laos.
Three Old Lao Kingdoms
The three ancient Kingdoms of Laos — Luang Prabang, Vientiane and Pakse. This journey to the ancient capitals can be easily complemented with a visit to the spectacular temples of Angkor in Cambodia.
Plain Of Jars
The Plain of Jars, in north-east Laos, is one of the most enigmatic archeological sites in the world: Theories compete to explain the origin of the jars. Activity Travelling in Laos
Trekking, biking, hiking, rafting and kayaking — all combinations of multi-activity adventure can be experienced throughout the entirety of the country.
Biking Laos
In Luang Prabang biking is all the fun. For one dollar a day you can pedal throughout the town, stop for lunch, give alms to the Monks and continue biking to the crafts market, on and on for an easy day in this relaxing atmostphere.
Pedal through and around the world heritage site of the capital of Laos, Luang Prabang or ride to Udomxai, Luang Namtha, Muang Sing and Xieng Kok, along the Mekong.
Try biking the scenic route from Luang Namtha to Phongsali in northern Laos, or all the way into neighbouring Cambodia or Vietnam. Or travel to the far South of Laos where you will explore the unrivalled remote districts such as Takhek, Savannakhet, Pakse, Tad Fan and Don Khone Island.
We also offer an 8 day bicycle tour that takes in the World Heritage town of Luang Prabang, and the dramatic mountain views between Kiu Kacham and Kasi. Last but not least, the amazing friendly people to be met on this cycling tour will inevitably leave deep impressions.
Hiking & Trekking Laos
Hikers will enjoy climbing Mount Konglo, trekking through the pine forests of the Bolavens Plateau or exploring the remote hill-tribe villages of the Golden Triangle.
Hikes for longer durations can be arranged throughout Laos.
Kayaking & Rafting in Laos
A multi-activity adventure in Laos could include kayaking in the 4,000 Islands area of the Mekong River or along the spectacular Nam Ou and Nam Hinbourne rivers in northern and central Laos.
White-water rafting enthusiasts should try the area around Vang Vieng, or the base of the mighty Mekong, the biggest and widest river in South-East Asia.
